High or decent paying manufacturing jobs are gone so get over it I am told.

In an onilne chat I was told our high paying manufacturing jobs are gone and are never coming back and to get over it. Well if they want to lay down and let our wealth go over to China and India more power to them. However I have no intention of laying down and being steamed rolled by cheap foreign labor or big international business.

Some say we don’t need protectionist laws protecting US workers I sorta do agree with that. American should have enough fucking brains to figure that out on their own. Why do Americans need to be told to look for the Made in the USA label???

When I see Made in China only one things comes to my mind is we need to change that to Made in the USA. Some say union paid workers are over paid and lazy, etc. Only thing I can say to that is that factory workers making $40,000 dollars a year spends that $40,000 in their local areas fueling more growth and more jobs. I just don’t see that happening with Taco Bell or Burger King workers making $15,000 a year. Time a worker making $15,000 a year gets done there is no extra to spend in the local economy like the factory worker has.

Cheap imported products are making the USA poorer and poorer. Sure you get items cheaper but its not putting the US dollar back into the local economy fueling the growth and expansion. All its doing is fueling the Chinese and Indian economy. Making the US poorer forcing us to buy even more cheap imports cause thats all we can afford on our service industry jobs.

So get over it? Fuck you, you get over it! Beat the American Made drum and vote for reps who are also beating the Made in the USA drum.

How did we even get to this place in the first place?
