Have you been inhaling the incense? Of course the Asian car companies have an advantage - they don’t have stupid ass unions sucking the life out of them. Instead of blaming the COMPETITION maybe you should look at the real PROBLEM. I hope you open your eyes and realize what I have been saying all along - NOBODY WANTS TO PAY FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE. IT IS NOT EVERY AMERICAN’S RESPONSIBILITY TO BUY A PIECE OF SHIT CAR SO DETROIT CAN GET DENTAL COVERAGE. Move to Canada.

Great Lake Boy said in December 10th, 2008 at 3:03 pm

Listen dude, no I am not inhaling incense but the transplants provide health care just like the Big 3 do! They just don’t have retiree health care costs, YET! Your a piece of work that is for sure! Go fly your Japan flag and be happy ok? Funny ass shit. Some people get this big hard on over the unions and they really don’t have a clue~ Go Employee Free Choice ACT!

Infiniti car owner said in December 10th, 2008 at 5:21 pm

Actually you are wrong, none of the employees at Honda or Toyota plants want unions and they voted that way. Healthcare isn’t the issue as you pointed out, its retiree health. Henceforth, without unions the Asians won’t get conned into losing all their profits.

I was talking to my barber about this and she said her brother retired at 50, gets paid $60,000 a year and has full health, dental, and vision. You think GM WANTED to give him all that? I guess to be fair he is doing the same type of work he was at the factory - sitting on his ass all day. Direct result of the union burning the farm to get out of tilling it.

I have family and friends that worked in the UAW so don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talkin about. Oh yeah I read an interview w/ GM CEO Bob Lutz yesterday and he even apologized for the poor product they produced. They also took out a full page ad saying how they let everyone down and are sorry.

Infiniti car owner said in December 10th, 2008 at 5:37 pm

Just to be clear, I do not want the big 3 to go out of business. It would destroy our economy. However, I think restructuring the corporations and getting rid of all this retiree healthcare is the only solution. There are actually American cars I would drive, I just think the majority of them are of poor quality. When Asian car sales go down you know our products are going to take an even worse hurting.

You don’t want them to fail yet you say the workers sit on their ass all day. Your a fucking moron really~ I will be sure to tell my dad he’s a fat lazy fuck! I’d tell both my grandpas if they were still alive! I can guarantee your lazy fucking office working ass they did more work than you ever thought of doing and none of them were lazy fat fucks so go fuck yourself before you go talking about things you know nothing about! lol There are tons of industries or employers who keep unfit workers with or without unions! I worked in a hotel where the kitchen line cook would pass out on the floor drunk and they’d have to poke him to wake him up to cook food! Unions blah blah blah blah blah blah~

I never said anything about who didn’t want or did want unions. If that is the case the Employee Free Choice Act shouldn’t effect them at all then! We can hope it passes then!

Funny how you switched right away from your big rant away from the health care costs! That’s right the transplant have all that too, even retirees just they don’t have 500,000~

So tired of this quality scape goat.

P.S. I said retiree health care~ Selective reading? No I didn’t edit it and put it in!

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 11th, 2008 at 11:27 am

I said I didn’t want the COMPANIES to go out of business. And for the record you said nobody in your family works for the auto industry any longer. Both of my grandfathers were in the union. They used to be good. Now they sue the car companies if they want to fire some of them b/c they have robots that can do the work of 100 men. If the hotel wanted to fire your drunk associate they could without being sued, big difference.

There is a reason transplants dont have 500k employees - they dont have a retard union that prevents them from making job cuts unless it is threatening to run them bankrupt. The Employee Free Choice Act is threatening to make voters decisions public. Goodbye democracy. Even a lot of Democrats are against it. They are trying to intimidate transplant employees into voting to bring in crooked-ass unions by telling everyone if they vote against it.

PS - you said “P.S. I said retiree health care~ Selective reading? No I didn’t edit it and put it in!”

What I SAID was -
“Healthcare isn’t the issue as you pointed out, its retiree health.”

Blindass motherfucker.

Listen rice ride lover pay the fuck attention I know you think your some great educated brainiac who is above everyone else but reading is simple.

I SAID RETIREE HEALTH CARE! DUH READ IT! LMAO~

Mmmm reason they have 500,000 retirees is because the transplants haven’t been here as long…but don’t worry your rice ride loving ass as they will have some day.

Stop blaming unions and put the blame on lame as foreign rice ride lovers like you. I don’t really care if they go under wont affect me that much. I still have an uncle and aunt, and cousin working for GM. And until just recently had two uncles. You have no idea what the fuck your blabbering about but it sounds good I guess!

Still no slam against Wall. St. you probably work in that sector~

So if the unions are ruining the auto sector, what ruined the rest of the non union manufacturing base? What ruined the paper sector? What ruined the textile sector? What ruined the electronics sectors? What that all crooked unions too? LMAO!~ Nope cheap imported products produced by slave labor! Too funny. Have a good day rice ride lover as soon another sector of the US economy will be gone. Hopefully there will be enough service sector tax payers to keep you in your lifestyle you become accustomed too~

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 11th, 2008 at 12:32 pm

First of all, I SAID “Healthcare isn’t the issue as you pointed out, its RETIREE health.” Can you read that?

You said-
“Currently none of my family works for any of the big three but are retired from them.”
&
“I still have an uncle and aunt, and cousin working for GM. And until just recently had two uncles.”

So which is it?

The reason the transplants don’t have that many people to pay is because they use a lot of automatic machinery. You know why a Hyundai is dirt cheap? They use robots to build them and therefore there is nobody to get sick. The Big 3 could do the same thing but it would cost a lot of jobs therefore the union won’t let them. Besides, whats so great about a company that produces all its parts in Canada and sends them to Mexicans to assemble them? You act like they don’t use foreign labor as well. American cars cost more and they are not as reliable. Wonder why nobody buys them. And I am not a “rice lover”, I have owned European and American autos as well. The Americans ones just didn’t last as long.

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 11th, 2008 at 4:14 pm

Well if you must know I don’t really talk to those people that much but I guess they “are” my family. So that is where that came from. Not trying to get one on you~

Lord I’d rather pay for people than robots! Soon everything will be robots! I think that’s bunk but you know more about rice ride plants than the average person.

No the quality issue is something that is easy to cling too~ Also I wouldn’t suggest buying Mexican or South Korean made Big 3 either! There are US Big 3 vehicles with 75%+ US made content! So that is fail! If Americans bought more of those there would be even more~ Actually I think the Big 3 are stupid for even caring. I would just say fuck it and go over seas 100%~ Union couldn’t stop that!

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 11th, 2008 at 5:19 pm

We aren’t disagreeing nearly as much as you think. I wish they could build a quality product that was priced competitively. I don’t think every union member is a lazy bum. There are several American-made cars I would consider purchasing.

Now, with that being said, I do think that the UAW is going to have to make some concessions. For one, there are going to be job cuts. The gov’t even said in the bailout they were going to let them borrow money to buy new efficient machinery thats probably goign to replace someone. They can stay in business if they can cut expenses and unfortunately all those employees are the big $$ problem. Or they can not do that and everyone loses their jobs.

If a US company made televisions identical to Sony but they cost 3x more, the US company would go out of business. If they could fire 300 employees (lets say 20% or their total)and stay in business then they should fire them. Its not a big deal when its a small number but when it affects a large amount of people its “not fair” even though its still just a percentage.

It shouldn’t be an all-or-nothing deal like it is right now. And it should have been up to the people that owned the company, not the union (although now that the gov’t is involved they should have a say too). Auto companies are not owned by taxpayers. Everybody is going to have to make sacrifices, and if that means auto workers dont get dental or vision anymore I doubt anybody is going to feel sorry for them.

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 11th, 2008 at 5:32 pm

LOL The UAW already said they would make concessions. Sure your going to buy a US made Big 3 like Larry Craig is going to give up bathroom blowjobs! Of course US made TV’s are going to cost more! ANYTHING MADE IN USA is going to cost more due to labor costs. Hell Id rather be a greeter for Wal-Mart for $7.75 than work on a factory line for $7.75! Sooner or later there isn’t even going to be people with enough money to buy imported stuff such as Sony’s~ Not everyone is cut out to be a professional trust me I lived with a dimwit only he was smart enough to do blue collar work, he is a trucker now. Low price stuff comes with a price, which you and many other people don’t realize it yet! You will when it’s too late! Isn’t funny how the standard of living continues to go down even with the influx of cheap imported crap. Can you figure out why or no? This whole thing is about so much more than the Big 3 making vehicles here~

Oh btw the transplants provide dental and optical too! Go figure uh~

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 12th, 2008 at 10:19 am

The transplants don’t provide everything for life though. That makes a significant amount of difference.

I never said I buy cheap stuff either, I said most people do. My motto is “buy cheap buy twice.” All this other stuff you talk about is great ideally but you know people aren’t going to pay more for US made goods. Like it or not the world is going to the dumps. We can either complain about it or do something. Last I heard about the buyout the UAW broke the deal b/c they didnt’ want paycuts.

I am not some rich wall street professional either, I run part of a small business and I have been so broke as to round up change to pay for my dinner.

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 12th, 2008 at 1:18 pm

Well thank god you making 6 figures now! I never heard of 6 figure job what didn’t with good benefits either, odd! I do agree if the UAW gave up retiree dental and optical they’d be OK but why should they just so you people can buy these “superior” imports? haha oh OK~

The problem about the world going tot he dumps is the republicans are trying to make everyone income that they can only buy cheap imported crap because there are no jobs to support anything but that! Wal-Mart greeters don’t have much disposable income! You don’t get it and I really don’t care if you! I didn’t have any kids so I don’t really care if the only jobs left here are minimum wage low paying sector jobs, DO NOT CARE! No concern to me! I am smart enough to run two businesses with one gaining ground every day! I don’t really care if we go into depression either, I will be fine!~ Have a good day!

P.S. Don’t worry about food any more you got an Infiniti and I hear they make a good meat loaf!

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 12th, 2008 at 3:02 pm

“I do agree if the UAW gave up retiree dental and optical they’d be OK but why should they just so you people can buy these “superior” imports?”

Um…so they would still have jobs? You need to take a xanax dude, you get too worked up on forums. If you can support a family by selling incense you can’t be too bad off.

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 12th, 2008 at 3:20 pm

I only get worked up when I have to deal with morons on forums! lol Wait till I really get worked up. lol I don’t have a family remember? I think we went through this before! I have several other incomes besides incense. Right now those are funding my incense business which is growing rapidly for now, well until the economic collapse comes but I think it will be worth it and so far it just keeps growing. If doesn’t I will be fine! My rants really aren’t about me, I figured you could figure that out! Good I hope the UAW stands firm! Call the Republican’s damn bluff! They should force GM to just shut her down and go to Mexico!

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 12th, 2008 at 4:09 pm

Dude I did’t vote for McCain so don’t think I’m one of those people. I’m just saying this is how capitalism works. Its goes up and down, there is no constant. When I was broke I changed the way I did things and it worked out for the best. I don’t see how running a car company the same way year after year while it slowly sinks into bankruptcy is going to fix anything. And changing the labor force is part of that overall change. I never said the union single-handedly destroyed anything.

I think the real problem is you just hate foreign cars for the sake of hating them. We all know they are all total junk and none of them could hold a candle to Oldsmobile, a non-defunct auto company. Why don’t you stop typing on that rice keyboard you are using and stop reading the rice monitor you are staring at? You do know you are using a product manufactured in Asia to complain about how we shouldn’t purchase foreign-made products don’t you?

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 12th, 2008 at 4:44 pm

Well now that you bring it up there are quite few foreign car brands that are quite crappy yet Americans keep buying them. Mitsubishi and Kia come to mind. I am sure there are a lot of just fine Toyota and Scions but the point is they are no better than say an Oldsmobile! 2003 Aurora vs Avalon or Lexus? OK lol LMAO~ Wish you could see my that 2003 Olds, looks like she just rolled off the assembly line! It’s fine, bad and rolling towards a 100,000. Ops it did need an air pump! God what a POS! Better get a rice ride next time! GM did fuck over the Olds brand but I’m still not gonna going support Japan!

Oh wow you really got me on the Monitor and Keyboard! I better just pick up my toys and go home! NOT! Hard to buy American when there isn’t any! Do I buy made in China vs America if the price difference is substantial? Why yes I do, thanks for aksing! Least I check and compare, more than the majority do! How many do that! I checked out needle nose pliers recently and made in China $4 and made in USA $15, I went with the $4. If I was making 6 figures what would I have bought? Take a guess! You foreign product lovers think that is your trump card against support made in USA supporters, but that is FAIL! My goal is too continue my business until I can get to a point where I can buy as close to 100% American made with as close to 100% American made content as possible. I don’t really care what you think your name is not on my light bill~

Why is our standard of living going down in the US? Why are people working more less? We should be doing great since we are geting all this stuff for less? Are the unions killing the American way of life or is cheap foreign labor? mmmmm

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 12th, 2008 at 5:14 pm

Actually you fail on all counts. You have repeatedly said how everyone needs to “buy American” yet you just said you won’t until you have so much money you will be able to just throw it away. Isn’t it obvious why nobody wants it?

And for the record, I compared your full-size 2003 Aurora’s retail value to that of a 2003 Civic (an entry level car) and the ricer was worth over $2000 more. The American economy does not reward sentimental value. Ultimately you fail here as well.

Personally I would have bought the $15 pair of pliars, the $4 crap you bought is going to break repeatedly and you will end up spending more. Rational thinking such as this has helped me not fail. I figured, of all people, you would know buying cheap tools is just shooting yourself in the foot.

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 12th, 2008 at 5:22 pm

The reason the Olds retail value is less is because it’s discontinued brand! Duh! I don’t know anything about the Civic your using but I know the Avalon!

I didn’t say until I have too much money to throw away. My financial situation really isn’t none of your business. You fail on so many levels it’s not funny! I bet those little rice pliers will last my life time as much as I use them! Keep playing that trump card buddy if it makes you feel better. Everyone should buy as much American as possible, your just too stupid to get it, so YAWN you bore me now! Now go raise you China flag in your front yard and be happy OK?

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 23rd, 2008 at 4:17 pm

I bought a Chevy Suburban if it makes you feel better. I don’t know why you keep talking about China, I don’t buy Chinese tools, you do. I don’t ever buy the cheapest crap I can either, so it is likely you actually spend more on their stuff than I do.

mygif
Infiniti car guy said in December 23rd, 2008 at 4:17 pm

Also, I don’t patron Wal-Mart.

mygif
Great Lake Boy said in December 23rd, 2008 at 4:35 pm

/me faints

Or was it used?

Yeah I go out looking for Chinese made tools daily! Like I say not buying American made when you can is a lot different than having circumstances where your income is limited. Like I say I don’t really have nothing to feel ashamed about far as buying American goes~ I am trying and striving to get to as close 100% American made as possible more than I can say for most people. Lots of people in America can’t afford American made like they could 30 or 40 years ago. Everyone is not cut out to be a professional. Not everyone lands a 100k job then rants about how people should pay for their own medical. Some people have made bad choices in their lives that doesn’t mean they should not have access to health care. As humans I think were above that. I have already come to the realization that you think your better I am but I don’t really care. I am not concerned with it really.
