OK I love reading the EB but geesh you talk about Etsy having no rhyme or reason and you guys turn right around and do the same thing. Power tripping is just as bad when it’s going against the power tripping Etsy admin, does that make sense? Does to me anyways. Not everyone is cut out to be moderator I have learned that over my 13 years online! Absolute power, corrupts absolutely~
Oh well least they get out what really happens on Etsy even though they do some of the same things Etsy does~ Sigh.

Maybe but your are only free up to 10 items! While I do appreciate the offer I am just not sure I am looking to sell any where other than my domain right now. I did find a couple handmade selling sites that are free with unlimited items. I just don’t know yet. Are you hiring staff? lol

They’ve been hypocrites from the very beginning. If you don’t drink their Kool-Aid, they will never post your comments.
I had high hopes in the beginning but now I don’t care if they all crash and burn and I admit that the petty side of me will do a little dance when the rest of them are booted from Etsy.
Then perhaps they can start producing something besides pointless anger.

Hell, I don’t even do anything with my shop anymore, but it’s still just easier to be anonymous on EB.
I had nothing to do with shutting the comments down on the blog… in fact, I’m rarely there anymore. If it were up to me and not the group of bitches, I would let comments run all day long. You have to lurv teh’ darma

It does. I know they’re not trying to “police” the comments and their forums as badly as Etsy. We have a lot of discussions about that type of thing and we make it a group effort to be fair. But there are times where posts are just ridiculous and nonsensical so we have to delete/lock.

Yes, I know who they are and so does Etsy. Everyone laughs when they respond to themselves in the comments though thankfully they’ve been doing less of that lately. It’s also amusing to contrast their Etsy forum behavior with their “secret identity” behavior.

It makes sense to me and it makes sense to you but it will never make sense to them. The irony of this is that as long as they preach one path and blatantly follow another, they will never be taken seriously by anyone who can think and reason. Their fervent dream is to be taken seriously and yet they shoot themselves in the foot on a daily basis. They long to be noticed and they are, but for all the wrong reasons.
It’s actually quite amusing to those of us who see the big picture.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is probably the main reason they are not taken seriously. Only a few of them actually contribute anything substantial to Etsy’s coffers yet they all seem to believe that they are oracles of truth and light who can force Etsy admins to bow to their pressure.
It’s like watching an overly tired two year old have a meltdown. At first it’s cute, then it’s annoying and then you wonder why the hell no one has taught the little brat any manners.

Here we see more of their goose step nonsense. My comments are always polite and reasonable and I submit them under my known Etsy name yet my comments are never posted. Why? Because my comments contain the truth.
Believe you me, there are far more people whose comments are blocked than there are people whose comments are allowed through.
Simply put, they are afraid of the truth because they are at least smart enough to understand that the truth is not on their side.
If you want to keep your account up and running you would be wise to stay far away.
I am not really worried about my account on Etsy any more. They treated me like crap so I am focusing on my OWN domain! I know someone called me a racist on EB and they said I said something derogatory to them. Well duh they called me a racist! What did they expect me to do invite them to dinner?
You’ll notice here I am not censoring anything or editing anyone’s posts~ I think it’s the best way to do it.
It’s the only way to do it, in my opinion, except of course if someone crosses the line into threats of physical violence or something equally reprehensible.
I admire people who are not afraid of differing opinions. This tells me they are secure in their own beliefs and understand what being an adult is all about.
People who bitch about being censored, while simultaneously censoring others, will never be more than a sad joke.
I never followed EB that close to realize how they ran it. I was surprised to see a golden lock and being called you fuckers. lol That was quite an eye opener.
The (suitably ironic) Etsy Bitch cliquishness and sanctimoniousness would be a lot funnier if it wasn’t so seriously meant by the participants. Some of those ladies could give daniellexo a run for her money in the irrational department!
Be great if the actual lock happy Etsy Bitcher would explain why she is so lock happy while bitching about Etsy. Who cares if the topic strayed a little, it was already back on topic by the time she hauled out the golden lock. The truth will set you free~

What’s to explain? They are intellectually incapable of defending their opinions of Etsy against differing opinions so their only choice is to squelch or remove those opinions.

Oh, I’ll freely admit I’m too busy outside of the internet to pay any attention to Etsy or to the Etsy Bitch Blog. I was one of the founding members, but if you look through the forums, you’ll notice I don’t post there and I RARELY if EVER post on comments. If Etsy closes my store, so be it. I haven’t touched it in months.

Don’t know I just thought it was a fun site who talked smack about how lame the Etsy Admin were. Then come to find out they’re just as lame as the Etsy Admin~
I have to agree with you on this. I’ve only posted comments there 2x. The first time I thought “o whatev” but the second time I was chiming in on their Etsy alterntes and was trying to be helpful with giving them my HUGE blog list of Etsy alts. but of course that would be promo for someone elses site.
No, they did not publish my comment so I rarely read them anymore. I do notice lots of repeat, non-commenting traffic to my blog tho. VERY curious indeed.
PS, just google Etsy Alternatives and you will find my blog, Im usually in the top one or two listings.<<<<<<<<that’s what got me sensored on EB. OH well…..
Stacy, they won’t publish your comments because they want you to disappear.
If you disappear, no one will know that they essentially copied your list of Etsy alternatives and are now claiming it as their own compilation. I realize you offered the list freely and there is no reason for them to be sneaky and sleazy aside from the fact that sneak and sleaze is the nature of the bitch/beast.
In fact one of their most vocal members blatantly steals ideas from other Etsy sellers. It’s in your face obvious, and she has been called out before, but she keeps right on stealing and her bad behavior is fully condoned and excused by the rest.
