Gip’s Manufacturing Co. after 44 years of making men’s slacks as much as 8000 a week in the 80′s has to close shop due to NAFTA, China entering the World Trade Organization and cheap foreign labor! Only 3% of American sold apparel is actually made in the United States. Chinese workers will work 91 hours a week for around 30 bucks or about 30 cents an hour!
The price for the cheap foreign made clothes comes at the cost of yet more American jobs! That cheap crap comes at a price! What a sad day it is for the American work force, but the only people to blame are the American people for allowing it to happen and continuing to let it happen! Like I have said before thank God there is fast food and restaurant jobs, because without those we wouldn’t have any jobs!
